In our Tapa Art unit, I learned:

1)Tow they make the tapa

2)They have different meanings

3)How they made the cloth

Inquiry: I thought our Social Science unit about inventions throughout time was interesting because…We got to look at what the olden days looked like.

In our innovations unit, I learned:

1)what olden day things look like

2)seeing what the houses looked like

3)rich kids got to go to school

tapa designs

Tapa

Today we did a tapa design this is a Samoan mat but we did it on paper and we had to do a design on the paper then after we did the tapa design we had to dye it after we dyed it. We learned where tapa came from and we also learned how they made it from a tree to the tapa

Today we did work about Matariki and we had to make a slide and you could share it with your friends and calibrate together I created it and with my friends, Brodie, Benaiah, Addison, nikau, Ethan and myself and the author and I hope you like it.
